Choosing the right mover is not a simple task. When moving, you want to be sure that your belongings will be in good hands until they reach your new destination. You also want to be sure that the costs will not skyrocket in the end, or that you will have to wait too long before your belongings are finally delivered to you.
Regardless of what company you choose, we want to provide you with a full list of questions to ask when shopping around.

Is the moving company licensed? |

How does the company charge? For example, by the hour? Most reputable companies should charge by the hour for local moves, and often there is a one or two hour minimum. |

Do they charge extra for larger items such as large screen televisions, billiard table or any extra flights of stairs during the move? This is not unusual and will vary by company. |

|
What payment options do they offer? Reputable companies will accept all forms of payment. Be cautious of companies that only accept cash. |

Is there a deposit required? Most reputable companies require a deposit to hold your move. Most deposits are refundable within a certain number of days prior to your move if you cancel. |

|
Are there full-time employees or do they use temps and day labor? Be cautious of companies that use temps or day labor because they may not be properly insured or trained. |

|
|
|
What kind of cancellation policy do they offer? You should always be able to cancel or postpone until a few days before your move. |

Do you offer free moving quotes? Never pay for an estimate! |
